Perform Breathing Exercises

Breathing can reduce the effects of anxiety on the body and helps with managing stress at work. Deep breathing can slow a racing heart and mind, allowing you to be more present. One of my favorite breathing exercises is to breathe in for a count of five, and then exhale over a count of ten. Doing this for at least two minutes is a quick and easy way to get some anxiety relief.

Eat Regularly & Stay Hydrated

When stress hits it is very easy to avoid eating and drinking enough water. However, making sure to eat something healthy when meal times hit, and drink water regularly throughout the day is a key way to avoid being stressed at work. This will keep your blood sugar level, stabilizing your mood and making stress less likely to take over.

Take Breaks and Move Your Body

Throughout the work day, get up from your desk at least once per hour. Walk around, stretch, and just move your body. Taking a break can help to reset your mindset, and moving your body keeps you feeling good throughout the day, helping you deal with stress at work. Taking a little break for movement can also help you focus more.

Try to Get Enough Sleep

Some jobs make it tempting to stay up working throughout the night, but sleep is your body’s recovery period. Without it, you will not be at your best and may be more prone to difficulty managing stress at work. If getting a full 8 hours is hard when you’re stressed, but try putting screens away an hour before bed, and trying all natural insomnia aids.

Try a Supplement

We have formulated Be Serene with five all natural ingredients including Mulungu, Shatavari Root, Schisandra Berry, Tulsi Tea Leaf, and Rehmannia. This collection of powerful adaptogens and natural anxiety busters can help you overcome anxiety when taken on a regular basis over time. The best part is that our supplement does not have a sedative effect, meaning that you won’t be falling asleep at your desk if you take it. Be Serene can be part of your holistic plan to reduce stress at work.
